VampKitty is not your average normal company. Over the years I have been pulled in very different directions for a company idea, all equal in their market share, and all very productive for me and all something I enjoy doing. Several folks over the years have commented that VampKitty isn't that professional of a name for a business. I actually don't really care especially after seeing things like ZOOP, or Blup, or even Zynga. I get noticed (isn't that what a name is about anyway, getting notice and getting accounts). My basic concept is, No matter what I do I am not going to suck every cent from someone for a high quality product. I believe high quality can coexist with fair pricing. When I had folks my business card the first thing most do is actually giggle and say That's a really awesome logo. - Which means I made an impression.

Brief History

I started out by creating Catering on a Shoestring, Weddings on a Shoestring, in Washington, back in the 80s. The concept how to host an elegant party, event, or Wedding without spending your entire life savings and work within a fixed budget. The uniqueness of the service was we would work with you to find the best deals, how to cut costs by doing a lot of the creative work yourself, and most importantly how spend less. I organized about 2 weddings a year and 3 corporate events for about 4 years. When I moved to California in the early 90s, it was extremely hard to get a simple food license so I stopped. Until recently, California didn't have a Country Kitchen Law like Washington did. I may end up resurrecting this because it was a lot of fun to do.

However, in 2002 I started officially selling my Jewelry designs as VampKitty Designs on Etsy which went over extremely well until Etsy started letting in mass production companies. I have done shows, fairs, personal home parties, and have moved off Etsy and onto Facebook Page. My designs are mainly for Plus Size Women, but I do make and carry jewelry for all sizes. I especially love doing Custom one of a kind Art Pieces, designing for the person, their style and within their color palette. If you would like to do a private showing or consultation - email me.

In 2006 my oldest daughter introduced me to Papercraft, specifically Stampin Up. I immediately fell in love, though it took a few years to finally feel I could make cards that others would appreciate that were artistic, and a few more years (and large number of supplies) to actually feel like I could sell my cards and as such VampKitty Ala Card an Facebook page . Again, I love doing custom work more than just generic cards.

Along with the two above stores I opened last year a Supplies/Destashing store VKDCraftyBits also on Facebook. I am always adding new stuff as I clear out or find a great deal of something I know crafters will use.

As for the Technical Consulting side of the company, VampKitty BYTES. I started out doing professional Web design for small businesses, communities/groups, and individuals right at the start of the Internet explosion as well as contracting as a SQA Engineer/Test Engineer. However, things change, styles change, and I really don't have a lot of love for Flash/high coded sites, so web design went to the side. I still dabble in web design, and still occasional get a request to put together a nice easy to maintain site for another artist. Instead I continued to focus on Software quality processes, Automation Testing processes, Project and Program Management. I am Scrum Certified, and a web hosting reseller.

Unlike most consultants, my specialty is small businesses who want to have High Quality Software but can't afford the big guys. I can provide multitude of services and support for a good price without sucking you dry. I offer analysis of your current infrastructure, testing process, and automation setups. Plus I can help you find the right people especially within startups, during the different rounds of funding, to make the most out of your product quality needs.

BTw, recently it became very clear that artistic web sites are coming back strongly thanks to the speed increase in the Internet. I have re-added doing artistic website design - specifically for those who want to do virtual scrapbook albums, galleries, writers, artists and other craftsfolk who want something less coding complex and more appealing to the senses.

Take a look around, make yourself at home. We're just not a normal company and don't want to be.
